"BE ON THE LOOKOUT "

The spring equinox had just ebbed itself out of the yearly calendar and the summer Solistics had just come into its own. The trees were full of newborn leaves and fruits were begging to be picked and to be savored by humanity. The swans floated on the lakes that looked like glass, the sky was punctuated by the birds that brought sweet songs to our ears. All this was under the glorious heaven on a summer day, and there was peace even for just a moment, for the world to catch its breath and to enjoy what the good Lord has made for us. 

Just when one would think all is well with the world a " BOLO"  notice was sent out from the handmaidens who lived across the river Thames the two sisters  MI-6 to MI-5   " Religious Upheaval ".

The Pope had many grievances with the non-catholic world, that world was quickly going out of control, the treasury was being rapidly being depleted due to past missteps and violation of humanity's basic rules by those who were supposed to protect the innocent, and mass defection to other forms of pagan religions. The judgments of litigation and the compensation was getting higher and higher as new exposure came to light. The journalist were ever so busy digging into the past and bringing up the injustices and speaking for those innocents who had no voices. As granted under the law, the compensation was very high and increasing which caused a panic in the Vatican treasury.

So a Royal Red Notice was sent by the two sisters to the royal courtiers to alert Her Majesty at Buckingham Palace, and also to the Archbishop of Canterbury who was soon to retire as it was mandatory for him to leave his religious post 90 days after his 72nd birthday, but the Pope has no such expiration date. It was a great concern to all who had witnessed the migration of several prominent Bishops who have left the Anglican faith and have swam across the river Tiber, which started as a creek and was eventually joined by other rivers as it seductively caresses Rome.

What is one to do? what tools does the Vatican have to increase the revenue streams in a hurry? All traditional means were already explored eg, admission fees to the Vatican museums, the Sistine chapel, etc. So a meeting was called and all the serving members of the Vatican in good standing and its members of the inner sanctum attended. The problem at hand was discussed in-depth and frankly and all resolutions were considered according to their merit but non passed the litmus test.  

Then out of the microcosm of this gathering, a voice came from the senior spokesman of the Jesuit order claiming they might have a solution. The Jesuit order has been in the Vatican since 1814.  Instead of selling indulgences or pardons of the sins let us sell the audiences with the Pope { the Bishop of Rome }for a hefty price tag for the elite and super-rich of this world, and invite them to the Vatican. 

It would be all-around great publicity for Rome, and the Vatican and would give a great status symbol to the affluent families. So finally it was decided to go ahead with this ploy and at first, this conclave had its doubts but when they saw the huge and endless positive response with an endless waiting list. 

From this conclusion, everybody was on board. In the end, the price of the audience with the Pope was only known to the invitees but never ever was discussed in public to this day. All ledgers are now in the black and the payroll is secured for another couple of decades and yet another crisis is avoided. To this day this little know fact remains a "Red Royal Vatican Secret "
